Light Collective
Licht Festival Gent...
As veteran light festival goers, and serial complainers about their content and lack of direction, we are delighted to report that we have just returned from an excellent one!
Cardboard creation
Fresh with the glow of our recent foray into designing with cardboard, and having found W.H Skinner, a company who can make our cardboard dreams come true, we embarked on our next card creation
New website up and running
Forgive me for sounding like a proud parent but we are super excited this week as we have just finished our new website and it’s now live and kicking
Jamon gluttony in Madrid
Now that a week or so has passed since the jamon gluttony occurred, we can actually bring ourselves to talk about it. We will mostly remember the Professional Lighting Designers Convention in Madrid for the amount of tapas consumed, but there was a lot of other good stuff going on
We heart Sclessin
Light Collective is feeling a little bereft this week after a superb soul sustaining week in Liege. We have been bringing love and light to the people of Sclessin in our first ever Social Light Movement workshop
See! Colour
You know how it is; you’re in Denmark with the Danish Lighting Society helping to plan a Guerrilla Lighting event so you stop off in Sweden to see the Turrell exhibition at Järna
The City Dark
The Light Collective exhibits the acclaimed film City Dark, examining light pollution in cities.
Dark Denmark
Summer is over and Light Collective visit Copenhagen to see The Danish Lighting Society’s guerilla lighting event.
Sleepy summer months
August is traditionally a quiet time of year for the lighting industry with the whole of Europe virtually shut down. Accordingly, we have had very little to blog about
The dream becomes a reality
We are not long back from a trip to Liege. It was short haul by our normal standards – a mere two hours by Eurostar (which is looking distinctly shabby these days).
A Mexican meander
Now that the altitude sickness has worn off, we are ready to talk about it. Who would have thought that being 7,000ft above sea level would make you feel like you had a constant and dirty hangover?
A first for Romania – and us
You could be forgiven for thinking we make this stuff up and of course you’ll never know. That’s the fun of it – you will just have to trust us
Seeing is believing
We keep finding ourselves in strange places and our latest trip was no exception. We have a project in Kenya – a proper lighting job. None of our usual avant garde work; it’s a straightforward lighting consultancy job consisting of a private house on the beach
