HEA achieves ISO 9001 certification

The Highway Electrical Association (HEA) has become one of the few membership-based trade associations to be certified to ISO 9001.

The HEA worked with certification body NQA to achieve the internationally-recognised certification – a quality standard adopted by manufacturers who have to manage consistency throughout their supply chain.

Commenting on the certification, Gareth Pritchard, chief executive at the HEA said: “The HEA wanted to send a message to our members and industry that we don’t just preach best practice but we adopt it ourselves. As well as this, we were aware of the advantages that 9001 brings, and felt the organisation would benefit from improved documented procedures, which also helps our business continuity.”
