PLDA and Osram postpone 'Light on Site' in Abu Dhabi

The PLDA and Osram have decided to postpone their ‘Light on Site’ event in the Middle East owing to concerns about political stability in the region.

A statement on the PLDA website said: “Due to several customer concerns regarding the political stability in some Arabian countries PLDA and OSRAM decided to take this action. Although the political situation in Abu Dhabi seems stable, we respect the wish of our participants.”

The event will now take place from 10-12 September 2011, again in Abu Dhabi, at which time the organisers hope that the overall situation will be relieved.

The PLDA statement pointed out that the proximity of the Light Middle East Fair - which will take place in Dubai from 12-14 September - will provide participants with the chance to combine both events in one journey.
