PLDA announces team following high-profile departures
The Professional Lighting Designers’ Association has announced its new team following a string of high-profile departures.
- Former We-Ef export manager Dutch-born Wim Aalders replaces Alison Ritter as director, who is leaving to focus on continuing professional development
- President elect Dr. Georgios Paisidis steps up as president following the resignation of Martin Lupton
- Sarah Adams takes over as UK co-ordinator following the resignation of Sharon Stammers

The PLDA described the moves as “the start of a new chapter in the history of the association”.
Martin Lupton, who began his presidency in April of last year, has set up the Light Collective practice with Sharon Stammers. He will will continue to support PLDA in its discussion with CELM.
The new UK regional coordinator, Sarah Adams, is New Zealand born and studied Architecture at the University of Auckland and has worked at Philips in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and London.
