Tridonic and ULT sign licence agreement

Tridonic and American maufacturer, Universal Lighting Technologies (ULT), have signed a licence agreement.

The agreement grants ULT the use of patented technologies to manufacture DALI control gear.

As the first manufacturer to launch digital dimmable electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps, Tridonic initiated the development of the DALI standard (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) and has subsequently created further products and patents for this standard to add to its portforlio.

ULT, headquartered in Nashville and part of the Panasonic Group, designs, manufactures and distributes lighting ballasts and controls.
