Aviva Stadium, Dublin
Dublin’s new Aviva Stadium has quite a heritage. Opened originally in 1872, it housed a number of sports clubs with the addition of Ireland’s international rugby squad in 1990. Lansdowne Road, as it was formerly known, was then demolished in 2007 to make room for the £365 million Aviva Stadium. More than 12,000 luminaries were supplied by Designed Architectural Lighting and Irish-based Cleeves Consultancy supplied the package with a total of 20 different luminaires.
