Domino's Pizza lights up

An exceptionally long Kalwall translucent wall is the dramatic feature of a new industrial building in Milton Keynes. The state of the art commissary building has been designed by q2 architects for Domino’s Pizza Group.

The Kalwall translucent and highly insulating cladding system diffuses natural daylight into the building and is able to glow at night. This is achieved by coloured LED lighting that reflects the company logo, thereby acting as a type of attractive advertising billboard while providing interest and animation.

The 10,275-sq m production and distribution facility will service over 500 Domino’s stores. It is the first phase of a larger development on the site to include Headquarter offices. These buildings are being designed to the highest environmental standards with the commissary achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
