Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria

The nineteenth century Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria has been illuminated by Zumtobel using LEDs. Supersystem LED and Tempura LED spotlights have been installed in the Throne Room, and nearly all areas visitor areas are to be fitted with LED lighting this year. Many of the rooms are full of delicate furniture, fabrics and paintings, so UV-free LED lighting is particularly suitable. Sources with colour temperatures between 3000 and 6500K have been used to emphasise the details of the exhibits. The new installation uses only existing lighting mounting points - a stipulation of the Bavarian Palace Administration.
