RS Performance, Stow Maries WWI Aerodrome

Profile Lighting has used its products as part of a contract to illuminate the RS Performance workshops at the Stow Maries WWI Aerodrome restoration project at Cold Norton Parish near Maldon, Essex. The brief was to provide a well illuminated workshop area sympathetic to the architecture of the buildings and the overall restoration project.

The Modular M8 lighting system was suspended below the exposed beams, in an interlocking grid pattern that provided even light distribution. The internal cabling limits the need for external services.

The Pro-Flite lighting system was employed in two suspended rectangular layouts for the front office areas, for attractive and effective office lighting with minimal disruption.

Both systems were specified with a high quality silver powder coated finish, high frequency electronic control gear and integral 3-hour maintained emergency lighting packs.

RS Performance specialise in designing & developing high performance engines and exclusive car production and their new facility at Stow Marie is part of their on-going business development programme. When completed, the Stow Marie’s restoration project is planned to provide a museum, guided tours & lectures on the site’s history as well as a visitors centre for the study of local nature and wildlife.
